He was responsible for all emergency responses at the Macquarie Island Australian Antarctic Base, (one of the windiest places on earth), for a continual period of 14- months.
Mark is an accredited RNLI Rescue Coxswain, Coxswain, Surf Life Saving Australia Bronze Medallion, Rescue Trainer, RYA Advanced Power Boat Instructor, Swift Water Rescue Technician, Fire Fighter, Fire Investigator, Coroner and Justice of the Peace.
Mark has worked in emergency planning and risk mitigation in public, corporate and government settings around the globe. He has worked on Emergency and Evacuation Protocols, such as the Byron Bay Tsunami Evacuation Plan, the Macquarie Island Tsunami Evacuation Plan, the River Thames Boat Evacuation Plan and the Brighton Pier Evacuation Plan.
